Is It Worth It? Beautycon BFF Box

Beautycon has released their own beauty/lifestyle subscription box.

This box is seasonal and is $29.99 + $6.99 shipping per season.

So really you’re paying $36 per season for this box.

If you’re interested in trying out this box you can use the code BESTIE5 for $5 off your first box.

Whatever season you signup in, you will get that season’s box the following month.

Before I show you what’s in the box, I want to give you my honest opinion on this box.

I purchased this with my own money and thought I should share with you guys in case you love new subscription boxes!

My Thoughts:

Short and simple : NO! Personally I don’t think this box is worth the money even if it’s only four times a year that you’re paying $36.

Beautycon claims every box is loaded with products worth $100 or more.

I can for sure tell you that this box is not worth $100 or more. Due to so many drugstore items and a few high end, I looked up prices for these items and the total was around $80 or less.

I DO think it’s worth it if you don’t already have a million subscription boxes and would like to dip your toes into something new.

Also, my boyfriend paid for this since I stay at home with our daughter, and I just wasn’t that excited when I got it and felt bad for wasting $36. Then thought about future months and decided for me the price isn’t worth what’s inside the box.

I would like to try out Birchbox, Play by Sephora , Ipsy (again) and maybe even the Morphe Brush Club ( monthly).

Every season is teamed up with an “influencer” aka celebrity or youtuber. This season was LoLoCAT.

The box comes with a list of the products (no prices) and tips on how you can share your box with the beautycon community.

Also in the box every season you will get these $5 off coupon codes to share with family and friends. As well as some boxes have golden tickets which give you a chance to win a gift card worth $50-$5,000.

babylipsgloss

Maybelline Baby Lips Gloss – Not a glossy person, swatched it on my hand and it was a bit sticky. The color was a very sheer light pink.

Elf Stipple Brush & Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush – The liner brush feels quite flexible so I’m not sure how this would work, I haven’t gotten to try many of these items yet due to being extremely busy and sticking with a quick makeup routine. The Elf brush is very soft and I would use this either for highlighter or blush.

Benefit They’re Real Mascara & Pop Beauty Kajal Liner – The mascara is one of the things I have tried out, and I actually love it. I usually don’t like rubber bristled mascaras but this makes my lashes long and full. The liner is in a dark purple shade, swatched very smooth.

ColourPop LBB Lippie Stix & Lippie Pencil – I am going to gift this to my sister in law, it’s more up her alley. But by swatching it the formula is smooth and creamy even though the finish is matte.

skinfix

Skinfix Hand Repair Cream – This formula is very rich and has no scent. For me the down side is it’s a little greasy after rubbed in. But other than that it’s helped my hands from cracking and bleeding due to my hands being in water (motherly duties).

Conair Travel Brush & Beautycon Makeup Bag – I gave this brush to my daughter since her other travel sized one broke. The makeup bag . . eh.

Beautycon Rings & Statement Necklace – I was actually really excited about the rings, but once I opened them they were like dollar store jewelry. As for the necklace . . not my style.

Beautycon Earphones – I needed some new ear phones, my daughter keeps stealing mine and breaking them or losing them. These are pretty good, I like how they completely fit in your ear and don’t fall out.

Beautycon Scarf – Colors are not my thing.

Well that was everything in the Fall Beautycon BFF Box.

Winter box comes out in December and the collaboration is with Bethany Mota.
