2014 Favorites

I had to really think hard about if I was going to do one of these or to just skip it.

Unlike most of other beauty bloggers and vloggers, my 2014 favorites are some what boring and very short.

I pretty much used the same products every time I did my makeup. So I guess this is going to be more like “What I mostly used in 2014” post. . but these are also products I absolutely loved!

Out of the three foundations I have I had to pick the Revlon Colorstay in Buff.

This is the only one I personally purchased in 2014, the other two I got from Clicks Research to test out and the only thing I dislike about those are they smell weird.

The Revlon Colorstay has awesome coverage, though I think the shade I have is too light, but I easily fix that with bronzer and face powder. The only thing I don’t like is it also smells weird. Hopefully this year I’ll purchase more foundations to try out . . I think every girl should have more than one.

My most used and favorite palette was without a doubt the CoastalScents Revealed 2 Palette.

I did a review on this in my CoastalScents Haul post so I’m not going to go into much detail with this.

The shadows are smooth, creamy and very pigmented. This palette is supposed to be recognized as a dupe for Urban Decay Naked 2 & 3 Palettes.

Two eyeliners I used constantly were the Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Liner in Black and Nude.

These eyeliners go on smooth with no tugging. Nude is the perfect eye pencil for the waterline on days where you want to look awake and a softer look. Black is of course your typical liner color and helps emphasize smokey looks.

I wish I could say these stay put for hours, but since I wear contacts any eyeliner will run off within maybe an hour, even when set with shadow.

The Essence I Love Punk Liquid Eyeliner Marker is my go to liner when I’m in a rush. It’s easy to apply and dries pretty quick so there is no smudging in the process of applying it.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara is my favorite when I want more of a false lash look without false lashes. It layers great and no clumps.

Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara is my more everyday mascara. For me this just pretty much just makes me look like I have lashes but not too dramatic.

I did have more products I purchased and used in 2014, but they were more towards the end of the year. I thought I needed to give them more use before I say their my favorite. Hope you enjoyed this and thank you for reading!
